Member digital assets: balances, deposits, on-chain withdrawals, transaction history and internal conversions.

Stablecoin Account Overview

Member deposits are available only to platform-operated entities (platform_hosted). External merchants (merchant_hosted) cannot credit member wallets and must use their actually funded merchant prepaid balance. POST /v1/deposits returns 403 insufficient_scope, including for previously approved keys. Orders must use funding_source: merchant. Historical records remain readable.

These member-wallet features serve platform-operated accounts. External merchants should query their merchant prepaid balance and must not use historical member balances as funding for new orders.

Four core operations

EndpointSummary
BalancesGET /v1/balancesMember balances by asset and balance bucket
DepositsPOST /v1/depositsPlatform-operated entities only: report a member deposit
WithdrawalsPOST /v1/withdrawalsOn-chain withdrawals, using a two-stage workflow
TransactionsGET /v1/transactionsAll ledger movements

There is also an operation that stays within the ledger: internal conversions.

POST /v1/deposits is the only endpoint that creates a balance credit without an existing ledger debit

It has six mandatory controls:

  1. Signature verification cannot be disabled.
  2. Idempotency includes your transaction reference.
  3. Per-transaction and daily cumulative limits apply.
  4. An asset allowlist applies; unknown assets are rejected without a ledger credit.
  5. Standard risk eligibility checks still apply.
  6. All activity is audited.

⚠ In particular, an unrecognized asset code does not create a new asset; the request is rejected.

You cannot enable a currency by reporting a deposit for it.

Balance buckets

A member balance is not one number. It is divided into buckets such as available, frozen, wealth and card balances. Only the available balance can be spent. State which bucket a displayed balance refers to. Showing the total as available would imply that frozen funds can be spent.
